Key points
Monitor punctuality
Creation of a Google Looker Studio dashboard which contains an overview of the number of buses that are driving on schedule vs those that are delayed. And the ranges of delay that we are encountering per city/region. The dashboard also contains info on the buses that did not ride out, the number of defect buses and malfunctioning infoboards.
Driving awareness
By displaying this dashboard on television screens throughout the offices, we made the data visible for a broad audience. This helped to create awareness around the impact of technical issues on the accuracy experienced by the traveller.
Results
By leveraging the available accuracy data in Google Looker Studio, we empowered De Lijn’s IT, maintenance and management teams with actionable and easy-to-understand data.
This helped them to create awareness around one of their main KPIs, which was not really tangible at the headquarters before.
